Our Mission
The mission of Uryadi’s Village is to provide comprehensive care for orphaned and vulnerable children, with a special focus on those who have unique developmental and medical needs, because every child is worthy.
Our vision
Our vision is a thriving permaculture-based village in Soddo, Ethiopia, which provides a loving, family style home with clean water, sanitation, sustainably grown food, excellent medical and therapeutic care, and effective educational opportunities.
Culture
Preserving and honoring our children’s culture is paramount. We engage in this work not to change who our children are but to offer them more access and opportunities in life.
Community connection
We are focused on building strong relationships with our neighbors in Soddo, including offering education and many other resources to those who do not live onsite but are still part of our community.
comprehensive individualized care
Effective and compassionate care for every child, both medical and therapeutic, including those who have unique developmental and medical needs.
sustainability
Through permaculture practices embedded in life at the village, we are cultivating a sustainability mindset in the daily lives of our children.
trust & transparency
We foster a culture of trust and transparency with everyone we come into contact with. This includes our children, our staff both onsite in Soddo and elsewhere, our global community of support, and all the government partners we work alongside, in every geographic area we impact.
